Road Toll Refund (Gas Tax Refund)

If you save your gasoline slips from your snowmobile adventures in New Hampshire. The club can send them in and get reimbursed $0.20 cents per gallon.

A portion of the price of a gallon of gasoline in New Hampshire is a Road Toll, which is used by the State Of New Hampshire for highway maintenance. When the gasoline is used in OHRV vehicles such as snowmobiles, the snowmobile owner can apply for a Road Toll refund. The amount of paper work involved is not usually worth the refund for an individual but a member of the Lake Sunapee Snowmobile Club can assign his/her refund to the club and when you put them all together it adds up to a significant amount. The refunds are used by the LSSC club for the expansion and maintenance of the club trails.

So here is what you have to do:

• Save all of your gas slips from New Hampshire. Only gas purchased in NH is qualified.
• The name of the gas station must be on the slip.
• The number of gallons must be shown. The refund is by gallons, not dollars.
• Your name must be on the gas slip so both the Road Toll Bureau and the LSSC Secretary can associate the gas slips and the assignment form. Credit card slips work the best but be sure your credit card number is deleted.
• You'll find the Road Toll Refund Assignment Form below, print it and then fill it out. Print your name at the top of the form and sign and date it at the bottom. You don't need to total the gallons, the LSSC Secretary will do that. Be sure to list your machines by year, make, model, and registration number. If you have more than four machines, make a note that there are more on the reverse and list the additional machines on the back of the form.
• Bring the completed form to the members meeting (first Wednesday of the month) and give them to our secretary or mail the filled out Road Toll Refund Assignment form and all of your gas slips to:
